Those who attend S.A.L.T. on Sunday morning, or our social activities, are a diverse group.  Most who join us are single adults ranging in age from the late 20's to the 70's.  After that, there is too much variety to mention.  Many are divorced, there are a few widowed, and some who have never married. 

There is a mix of church backgrounds and traditions.  Most attend Highlands Church on a regular basis, while some worship at other churches and come to our Sunday morning teaching or social activities as time permits.  Some of us are new Christians, others have been believers for a longer time.

As you can imagine, there is a lot of different viewpoints and interests.  We try to tailor our social activities to interest as broad a base as possible, but often find different things interest different people.  Therefore, we offer as much variety as we can manage.  Sometimes we partner with other churches, such as Word of Grace in Mesa or Christ's Church of the Valley in Peoria, to join their singles in activities.

Despite the broad range of interests, lifestyles, and ages, one thing is common to S.A.L.T. at Highlands Church - we are believers in Christ with a heart to grow in Him through bible study, teaching, prayer and fellowship.  We desire to take that spiritual growth out into Highlands Church to minister to others and into our community to reach others for Christ. 

What we are not is a "dating group".  While many singles have the desire to meet a "life mate" (and a good place to find other Christians who may fill that role is in church) we don't encourage "dating".  We hope you will find many believers at S.A.L.T. who will be your brothers and sisters in Christ first, and will grow in friendship.  If out of those friends a special relationship forms, we will all rejoice in Christ's blessings!
